QuickBooks Online/Amazon Integration is Here!
QuickBooks Online integrates with Amazon!
Many small businesses now use Amazon for a large portion of their business purchases because of the ease of shopping. The downside to using Amazon has been the difficulty in knowing what the individual charges were for and how to allocate the expenses. When we would close out the books for our clients, we found that a large portion of the ‘uncategorized expenses’ were Amazon charges, it was frustrating for us and our clients.
QuickBooks Online recently introduced integration with Amazon to automatically pull in transaction details and the automation can be a lifesaver! If you are are using Amazon for business purchases, here is how you can turn on this feature:
First, click on Gear Icon and go to ‘QuickBooks Labs’
Next, click ‘QuickBooks Amazon Integration’ and toggle the switch to ‘On’
Finally, click on ‘Banking’ in the left navigation, then the new ‘Banking Apps’ tab
You can now link your Amazon account to QuickBooks Online! The sync to Amazon is not continuous, so will have to go to the ‘Banking Apps’ tab after purchases to sync the details. Even with this added step, the integration still saves time and a lot of frustration.
